Sparking debate around designing ethical AI for human-centred healthcare

As part of the launch of Uscreates' Research and Design Lab, Hatch, I co-led a roundtable exploring the role of AI in the future of healthcare. We brought together designers, clinicians, technologists and policymakers to examine how AI could shape care services and how to ensure these technologies remain ethical, inclusive and human-centred.

 

Using speculative scenarios, we facilitated discussion on sensitive topics like data ownership, systemic bias and patient trust. The session placed particular focus on patients’ rights, data ethics and the design challenges of embedding AI responsibly into everyday health services.
